Are you Aware of all the Hazards for your dog? I bet not!

March 9, 2018

When I first learned about the massive amount of hazards my dog encounters on a daily basis I was shocked! And many of the items I would have NEVER guessed where harmful to my dog, such as apples, coffee beans and raw egg, I mean, I grew up thinking a raw egg in your dogs food is good for them. Both are serious issues if your dog ingests them. I'm SURE there will be a handful of items you will see that will surprise you. Not to mention, summer is coming along, this usually means lots of yummy fruit, which many are dangerous for your pup to consume. As well as picnics and food left on the ground in parks and even in yards and decks.

Now, I'm guessing some of you are thinking, “yay, another list with no information”. Nope, I want you to have easy access to INFORMATION and just WHY they are harmful. Some are more harmful then others, meaning small consumption is no big deal, while other are very serious and should be avoided entirely. You may even discover why your pet threw up what you thought would be a nice treat that one time. I know I have, for example, my sons ate raisins often as a snack when they were little, and one messy afternoon I decided “ahh, let the dog clean up the mess” well, call it karma for being lazy, I was cleaning up one HUGE mess an hour later. Needless to say, no more raisins for snacks! So, id like you to see many food items, some house hold items and some plants as well.

However instead of making ANOTHER compilation to add to the mass amount already on the web, I'm going to link to you all my favorite website to refer too (from most favorite to least), ones with information not just a list, and categorized, your welcome! So...Here we go: (who else said that in a Mario voice?)
